A Multistakeholder Climate Action Plan

Project: Unifying Voices for a Greener Njombe

Services: Brand Identity, Strategic Communication, Stakeholder Engagement

Njombe’s highlands are the breadbasket of the Southern Circuit, but changing weather patterns threatened the region’s economic backbone. While there was robust scientific plans in place, they were buried in technical jargon. The coalition faced a “Tower of Babel”

Problem: Government policymakers, local farmers, and international donors were all speaking different languages. They needed a brand that felt local yet authoritative, and a strategy to make the Climate Action Plan accessible to everyone.

We didn’t just design a logo; we engineered a movement. Below is how Azma bridged the gap between policy and people.

The Real Results

  • 85% Awareness: Post campaign surveys showed an 85% recognition of the new Climate Action mandate among local cooperative leaders.

  • Unified Voice: The “Njombe Green” brand is now used by 12 distinct partner organizations, creating a cohesive visual front for regional climate action.

  • Funding Secured: The clear, branded communication strategy was instrumental in securing Stage 2 funding from international development partners.

Our 5-Step Approach to Resolution

1
Stakeholder Immersion & Listening
We held dialogues to understand the fears and motivations of local stakeholders. We learned that for the plan to work, the message had to shift from "Global Crisis" to "Protecting Our Harvest."
2
The "Common Ground" Strategy
We simplified everything into three core pillars: Linda (Protect), Zalisha (Produce), and Stawi (Thrive). This became the heartbeat of the communication strategy. That's the narrative that unified all stakeholders.
3
Visual Identity Systems
We created a visual identity inspired by the "Mdzombe". The logo was designed to be modular, easily recognizable whether stamped on a government decree, or painted on a village water tank.
4
Multi-Tiered Communication Toolkits
For Policymakers: High-level executive decks and policy briefs. For Investors: Impact reports highlighting ROI on sustainability. For Communities: Visual-heavy, Swahili-first brochures and radio spots explaining the plan without jargon.
5
Activation & Rollout
Azma managed the launch event, ensuring maximum visibility. We coordinated a synchronized digital launch with physical barazas, ensuring that the brand identity was immediately recognized as a symbol of trust and progress across the region.
